Life conspires against me - once more

The reason I've not blogged for a while is that life has conspired against me - again! And this time, for a change, I'm not the architect of my own disasters.

My daughter just moved house, which entailed a great deal of running around on the Internet and the telephone. Then last Saturday my screen died. So I had to order a new one "express delivery" and set it up, only to find I had at least 110 emails to wade through in just a couple of days of being off-line. Luckily none of them were Spam! However, I found that in my hurry I'd ordered a monitor without audio, so that meant another trip to the on-line store to order some of those, which I'm now waiting for.

All of this meant playing catch-up, and I have, finally, caught up with myself, LOL.

However, just as things were getting back to normal I had a phone call today to say that one of my closest, and oldest friends had just been taken to hospital after having a heart attack. He's comfortable, but will be there for a few days, and with the weekend tomorrow I don't know when they'll do the tests, or what those tests will show. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers to whatever deity you believe in.

In view of all this I really don't know when I shall have my next new article on-line, but it may not be until around, or maybe just after, Christmas. So with all of this going on, and expecting my first great-grandchild to arrive quite literally any day now, and definitely before Chirstmas, you can see how chaotic things are here.

I'll update again when I can.

Thank you. I was able to phone my friend in the hospital and he's feeling a little better, but doesn't know when they'll allow him home.

I think you may have mis-read my post, LOL. It's one of my granddaughter's who is about to give birth to what will be my first great-grandchild. It may even happen this week.

And also thank you for those really kind wishes that next year will be quieter, and run more smoothly, for me. I appreciate it.
