Internet irritations

Just a quick post that I’ve been meaning to write for a couple of days but haven’t found the time. Don’t you just love weekends when there isn’t so much around on the web and you have time to catch up, LOL.

Anyway, for those of you who might have visited my “kithraskrystalkave” site recently and noticed that all the images had disappeared this has now been put right. I didn’t know what the problem was with them and eventually asked my service provider. Apparently the cause was due to a problem with my .htaccess file and they put it right for me. I’ve no idea what that file is, or what it does, but it’s great to see the pictures back where they should be.

My second, and even bigger irritation, is when trying to read some sites. Where people write them on a black background, with certain words in, for example, green text, the words just don’t show up. I can’t even see them if I increase the screen size to almost as large as it will go. (It’s bad enough when I have to increase the size to read text written in small font sizes.) I think it’s maybe something to do with the site linking to other things when those words get underlined in the text. Therefore I’m putting out a heartfelt plea for anybody reading this, who uses such a colour scheme, to alter it so that we can actually read it without having to highlight all the text, (as we would if we wanted to copy it), in order to read what’s being said.

One day many of you will be as old as I am, and your eyesight too will be deteriorating. So, come on, please, give a little thought to the people who might want to actually read what you’re writing.
