At the end of October an expedition will be launched by the CFZ to the Garo Hills of Northern India. The team is going in search of the Indian Yeti, a.k.a. the Mande-Burung.
These animals are reported to have existed in the area for a very long time, and are believed to walk upright. They are most often reported as being seen in the month of November, and are described as being up to ten feet tall.
Perhaps they are a still surviving type of Gigantopithecus Blacki, whose closest known relative is the Orang-utan. So, good luck to the team, and let’s hope they come back with some evidence. Let’s also hope that they have a safe trip.
You can follow their travels on a new blog site dedicated to the expedition, which can be found here.
