Bigfoot Video – Real or Hoax?

It seems that everybody is blogging about the latest apparent Bigfoot sighting taken with a thermal video camera last year by Mike Green. I first came across the video via a blog on Cryptomundo that Loren Coleman had posted. Naturally this has produced some interesting comments from readers.

Then, in a post from Nick Redfern, on his monsterusa blog, he linked to a commentary at the Blogsquatcher site; adding the fact that the Blogsquatcher opines “whatever that is in the video certainly looks squatchy.” Plus, it contained “an embedded comparison video using a human stand-in,” so I went over to check that one out.

Both the original video and the comparison one are interesting and, as you might expect, Blogsquatcher’s post also generated some interesting comments.

However, the real problem is this. Motionless, and video, images are easy to fake with a normal home computer and a little expertise with the right software. So, whether it be Bigfoot, aliens, or UFOs, the same thing holds true. Until we get a genuine Bigfoot body, alien entity, or a nuts and bolts UFO, we will never be able to say that they are real. However much we might want to believe that these things are true in a physical sense we need authentic empirical evidence.

But we also have to be very careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater!

Yes, well if anyone would actually camp out in the forests where they have been "spotted" for more than a few days, you might actually have your hard evidence. Take the Gigantopithecus for eaxample. Their remains were just discovered in the 1930s. Who's to say that there isn't a few left alive. They might be more evolved now like the shark or crocodile, but they could still exist.
