These two articles were inspired by some very weird happenings deep in the heart of Cornwall.
Cornish Cryptids
Living in Cornwall, UK, I’ve long been fascinated by the local stories of strange cryptids and UFO sightings – especially the ones I cover here as they all occurred in the area where I live. So this article covers my daughter’s possible UFO experience, that include an episode of missing time, and also the very strange events surrounding two local crptids known as the Owlman of Mawnan Smith (very similar to the Mothman of Virginia, USA, and of Morgawr, the local Cornish Sea Serpent.
I’ve also written about other UFOs seen in Cornwall, some of the fairy people believed to haunt this county, and I’ve suggested some more bizarre explanations for what might lie behind these events, including the closure of a now defunct local Chemical Defence Establishment where VX nerve gas was made. Some local people still claim they were positioned whilst working there.

The Lost Land of Lyonesse
Not very widely known is The Legend of Lyonesse, an area that sank beneath the waters just off Lands End, Cornwall, UK. This piece includes the history, geology, and archaeology that might support the idea. It also talks about Ritual Landscapes & Ley Lines - and the Lyonesse relevance to one of England's longest ley lines called the Michael/Mary Line.
